Seeing the fall colors of New England was the primary objective, but we were able to travel through 26 states with the overall completed goal of visiting all 50 states together in our married life. And for the record, West Virginia was the final of the 50. And it was unexpectedly beautiful.

We've been planning a trip with our good friends Tom and Linda from New Jersey. For this trip we drove the van cross country to NJ. Went on a cruise to the Bahamas, then flew to Miami and took another cruise to the ABC islands from Ft. Lauderdale. Then we flew back to NJ and picked up the van and headed for the Canadian side of Niagara Falls before heading home going north around Lake Superior.

Neither of us had been to Oklahoma and this gave us an excuse to see another state park and on the return see Mt. Rushmore again.

With a visit to my sister in Colorado, a timeshare week in New Mexico, and another timeshare week in Las Vegas, this was truely a trip to no where.

There were 150 miles of unpaved and quite rough road. This was a once and done type of trip. Which included a flat tire and a last minute decision to bail and head for Wendover.

Canyonlands National Park and Mesa Verde were both fun to visit. The ancient structures in Mesa Verde National are truely amazing.
